What is a full face snorkel mask? Can i breath easily with it?

A full face snorkel mask covers your entire face. It allows snorkelers to breathe using both their nose and mouth which is a much more natural way of breathing for most people. It is easier to breath than a traditional snorkel.

    Will the mask leak?

Please rest assured.Any mask of our store has been tested.  As long as you wear the mask correctly and make it fits properly,it won't leak. Make sure there aren’t any loose strands of hair or facial hair under the mask skirt since this can prevent a tight seal from forming and cause leakage.

Does the mask comfortable to wear?

The skirt of our mask is made of soft and flexible silicone, so in most case, it's comfortable for you to wear. Mostly, the uncomfortable issue are due to the unproper use, such as over-tighten the strap,. If you wear it properly, but still feel uncomfortable, it's a wrong fit. Here are the signs that the mask isn't fit: One, the bridge of your nose is pressed up against the mask. Two, Masks has narrow space in the nose area. Three, you rely on over tightening the straps to enforce the mask’s seal. If you meet these issues with our product, please contact us right away and we will help you with these to make you satified.

How do I clear the full face mask of water after submerging?

Unlike traditional snorkels, you don't need to 'purge' or clear your snorkel of water when resurfacing. These have a Dry Top system, so a plastic ball moves to close the tube when submerged. This stops water from entering the tube.
As soon as you resurface, the ball lowers and the tube is open to breathe air through again.

    How can i prevent fogging?

You Mask will also need to be washed regularly to remove dust, dirt, salt and oils from your skin. Once your mask is clean you can treat it with a de-fogging agent so that it doesn’t fog up.

My mask is leaking, what do I do?

If you feel you have a mask that fits properly then adjust the straps for a comfortable fit but do not over-tighten. Sometimes over tightening can cause a leak and is not as comfortable too. Also, make sure to clear your hair from your face so you get a good seal. If you have a mustache, use sun block or Vaseline on your mustache to help establish a seal.Lastly check for damage, cracks in the frame due to damage will leak.

How to wear the snorkel mask correctly to get a better fit?

    Here are some tips:

    1. Pull your hair back to make sure it's not on your face,  or as for men, your beard may be blocking the perfect seal between the mask's silicone skirt and your skin, so you'll need to shave before putting on the mask.
    2. The strap should sit high on the back of your head, not resting on your ears. If it rests on your ears it will get painful.
    3. Do not over-tighten the mask strap.

    Great snorkeling masks!

Loved using these snorkeling masks in Aruba. No water inside mask and it made the experience so much better than having a tube in your mouth. Just wonderful and easy to use.

    Breathe Normally!

Disclosure: I requested a total of three Greatever snorkel masks, one single mask and a set of two, to be sure of a proper fit between my fiancée and I. This review will be posted for the single mask and also for the twin pack snorkel masks.

This is our very first time to ever use any type of snorkeling masks. The masks fit us and provided a good seal. I chose the Greater snorkeling masks due them being self contained, not needing to use a separate tube to breathe. The masks have a wide viewing angle which provided us with an immersive experience.

Included with the masks is a user guide and hardware for mounting an action camera.

The mask worked well, allowing us to breathe normally. Since we are brand new to snorkeling, we aren't able to make any comparison to any other types of snorkeling gear.

If you are new to snorkeling, I can say that Greatever snorkeling masks are worth your consideration.

    We are satisfied.

    I hope this helps.

Avoid leaving the mask in direct sunlight as the rubber can dry out and lose flexibility

This product is a true find for snorkeling and swimming enthusiasts. I've always loved snorkeling, enjoying the view of tropical fish underwater, but regular masks often left me frustrated. Being an average swimmer, I struggled with how traditional masks fogged up, requiring frequent rinsing, which broke my swimming rhythm. This mask completely solves that problem. I can swim for 20 to 30 minutes without needing to remove it. The lens stays clear, thanks to its clever design and engineering.

The mask’s edges are made from a curved, semi-circular surface, ensuring a snug fit that keeps water out. The fogging issue is tackled by separating the breathing area, covering the mouth and nose, from the viewing area. Unlike regular masks where you have to breathe carefully to avoid water entering your nose, this mask allows for easy breathing through both the mouth and nose.

One small drawback is that if the mask isn’t worn correctly for a long period, it can press on the chin. I adjusted the straps to achieve the right balance—tight enough to prevent water from getting in, but not so tight that it’s uncomfortable. My wife had a similar issue with the mask pressing on her nose, but once I showed her how to wear it properly, it wasn’t a problem anymore. Wearing the mask lower, almost at the brow line, seems to give the best fit.

Another advantage is that the mask is designed for easy diving. A special ball in the breathing tube seals it off when submerged, preventing water from entering, yet you can still exhale. You can see this in the middle of my video. The set also includes a GoPro mount for underwater filming and two earplugs, which I was happy to find included since I forgot to pack mine. The carrying bag is a nice bonus, and the mask’s tube folds up neatly, saving space during travel. Additionally, a spare valve is included inside the mask, easily replaceable if needed.

One important tip: avoid leaving the mask in direct sunlight after swimming, as the rubber can dry out and lose flexibility. I prefer to let my masks dry in the shade, helping them last for several seasons.

Overall, I’m extremely satisfied with this acquisition and confidently rate it a well-deserved five stars.

Compact easy to pack alternative to a traditional snorkel and mask

I am an avid snorkeler so I never really felt the need for something different. But I’ve seen this type of mask for a while and was really curious about it for myself or for one of my friends who may not be as comfortably in the water. Snorkeling with a tube can be a pain to setup and people can have problems not trying to breath through their nose which causes the mask to leak.

The mask was a little trickier than I expected to flip up the snorkel and clip it in. It’s not hard but on my mask the clear cover on the hinge fell off in transit so I had to figure out where to snap it back. I was a little nervous I would break the clear plastic when locking the snorkel into place but it clicked in just fine.

I ordered the S/M since my face is generally more narrow, but the mask was also a little on the short side in height. It still sealed on my face but I had to be more care to position the breathing area around my mouth area and get a good seal under my chin.

Once on you can breath like normal. No experience required :). I will say coming from a quality snorkel tube, it’s a bit harder to breathe and the air is warmer due to circulating around your face. I’ll have to see if I’m swimming in colder water if that keeps it from feeling so hot and heavy. I’m not sure I would switch to this style for that main reason.

That said. The wide open view is nice and the viewing angle is wide even compared to a regular mask that sits close to your face (which lets you see more on the sides) the snorke has a ball that floats up and blocks water from coming in if the top of the snorkel is submerged. It also has a purge valve under the mouth in case water does seep into the mask you can blow it out. There are two more one way valves near each cheek that I’m guess is in case water gets into the top glass area of the mask to keep water from getting to your nose or mouth.

I think it’s great they included a go pro mount. I would bring it to trips for just this feature as I usually have to hand hold the camera on a stick. I get a little nervous with transparent plastics as I’ve always found they tend to crack more. The straps feed through two slits in the plastic so hopefully those dont have a problem. I’ll need to be careful when I pack the mask so it doesn’t get compressed in those areas.

Overall pretty happy with my first mask of this style. I may get another one that is a bit bigger to see if the positioning is a little easier. Otherwise it’s a solid product.

    Great beginner mask

After some research I was told this was a great beginner mask.
It does work great without my glasses however it doesn't work with.
These didn't fog up on me at all.
It is adjustable in the back of the head with 2 straps.
    It's a great color!!
It's a smaller mask, great for women and kids!!
Definitely recommendable if you don't wear the spectacles...lol
